In the 2021 election for the BIDHANNAGAR seat, AITC candidate Sujit Bose S/O - Late Ajit Bose won with 75912 votes. They defeated BJP candidate Sabya Sachi Dutta S/O - Late Gouri Sankar Dutta by a margin of 7997 votes. Sabya Sachi Dutta S/O - Late Gouri Sankar Dutta received 67915 votes in total.

In the 2021 election for the BIDHANNAGAR seat, the runner-up was BJP candidate Sabya Sachi Dutta S/O - Late Gouri Sankar Dutta. They were defeated by AITC candidate Sujit Bose S/O - Late Ajit Bose. Sabya Sachi Dutta S/O - Late Gouri Sankar Dutta secured a total of 67915 votes, losing by a margin of 7997 votes.
