English Bazar Assembly Election 2026

Polling for the ENGLISH BAZAR Assembly seat will take place in the first phase on April 23, 2026.

Vote counting and the declaration of results for the ENGLISH BAZAR Assembly seat, along with all constituencies of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, will be held on May 4, 2026.

In the West Bengal Assembly Elections 2021, the ENGLISH BAZAR seat was won by BJP. The winning candidate, Sreerupa Mitra Chaudhury(Nirbhoy Didi), secured 107755 votes. The runner-up was from AITC, whose candidate Krishnendu Narayan Choudhury received 87656 votes.

In the 2021 election for the ENGLISH BAZAR seat, BJP candidate Sreerupa Mitra Chaudhury(Nirbhoy Didi) won with 107755 votes. They defeated AITC candidate Krishnendu Narayan Choudhury by a margin of 20099 votes. Krishnendu Narayan Choudhury received 87656 votes in total.

In the 2021 election for the ENGLISH BAZAR seat, the runner-up was AITC candidate Krishnendu Narayan Choudhury. They were defeated by BJP candidate Sreerupa Mitra Chaudhury(Nirbhoy Didi). Krishnendu Narayan Choudhury secured a total of 87656 votes, losing by a margin of 20099 votes.

The West Bengal Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) has a total of 294 seats. Public representatives are elected directly.
