Nalhati Assembly Election 2026

Polling for the NALHATI Assembly seat will take place in the first phase on April 23, 2026.

Vote counting and the declaration of results for the NALHATI Assembly seat, along with all constituencies of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, will be held on May 4, 2026.

In the West Bengal Assembly Elections 2021, the NALHATI seat was won by AITC. The winning candidate, Rajendra Prasad Singh (Raju Singh), secured 117438 votes. The runner-up was from BJP, whose candidate Tapas Kumar Yadav(Ananda Yadav) received 60533 votes.

In the previous election in NALHATI, Rajendra Prasad Singh (Raju Singh) secured victory as a candidate from AITC. They received a total of 117438 votes, accounting for a vote share of 56.5%.

In the 2021 election for the NALHATI seat, AITC candidate Rajendra Prasad Singh (Raju Singh) won with 117438 votes. They defeated BJP candidate Tapas Kumar Yadav(Ananda Yadav) by a margin of 56905 votes. Tapas Kumar Yadav(Ananda Yadav) received 60533 votes in total.

In the 2021 election for the NALHATI seat, the runner-up was BJP candidate Tapas Kumar Yadav(Ananda Yadav). They were defeated by AITC candidate Rajendra Prasad Singh (Raju Singh). Tapas Kumar Yadav(Ananda Yadav) secured a total of 60533 votes, losing by a margin of 56905 votes.

The West Bengal Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) has a total of 294 seats. Public representatives are elected directly.
