Global IT service provider Capgemini on Wednesday said it will hire 500 people in India for its business information management (BIM) service line, taking the total number to 2,000, by end-this year.
"We have 1,500 professionals in India and plan to hire 500 more for our BIM service line by December 2010," Capgemini's Global Leader (Business Information Management), Paul Nannetti, said.
The company has employed 5,000 people globally for its BIM service line.
"We have seen a 48 per cent growth (in the BIM service line) in the first-half of this year and expect a 52 per cent growth by December 2010," he said.
Capgemini India manages more than 70 clients, which include global as well domestic players.
"We have good clients both in India and overseas markets and will add more clients in the coming days," Nannetti said.
