Samsung India launches medical equipment under 'GEO' brand

Samsung India has launched digital radiology and in-vitro diagnostics equipment, strengthening its recently established health and medical equipment business in the country.

The company would be marketing the new range of products - including XGEO for digital radiography, UGEO for ultrasound diagnostic system and LABGEO for in-vitro diagnostics - under the 'GEO' brand.

"We are leveraging our strengths in technology and R&D to offer medical products that offer fast, easy and accurate diagnosis to both doctors and patients," Samsung Electronics Vice President, Health & Medical Equipment Business Dinesh Lodha said.

"We are focusing on time engineering that enhances the efficiency of all products being used in hospitals and clinics," Lodha said.

Samsung India had established the Health and Medical Equipment division in 2012. Lodha was appointed to head the new division in March this year.
