GTE showcases future of apparel, knitting industry

The 14th edition of Garment Technology Expo - GTE'11 is being held from January 7-10 at NSIC Exhibition Centre, Okhla, New Delhi. It showcase the future of apparel and knitting industry. This is one of the largest international garment technology exposition. In the back drop of global downturn, participants of GTE'11 gathered to display a combination of tested technology on one hand and many new upgraded technologies on the other. Also a wide spectrum of garment accessories, embellishments trims are on display.

More than 400 Exhibitors from the industry from across 18 countries including India, Japan, Germany, Italy, Spain, France, UK, USA, Korea, China, Turkey, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Chez Republic, Hong Kong, Australia, have participated in the exhibition.

One of the noteworthy attractions this year is the introduction of latest finishing technology from Veit Group - Germany. They have displayed latest finishing technology for Casual garments such as Jeans, Polos, T-shirts, Blouses, Casual shirts and ladies hi-fashion garments. "We understand the latest trend in the fashion industry vis-a-vis the need to cut down the production cost. The semi-automatic/automatic machines from Veit Group - not only improves the quality of the garments but also reduces garment production cost by means of saving plenty of space, electricity and steam. For example - Veit 8430 Blouse Finisher - gives productivity equivalent to 4 conventional ironing system but the running cost of the machine is even less than running on conventional system. Moreover, it enhances the finishing quality of the garments," says Din Bandhu, Sales Manager, Veit Asia Pte. Ltd.

With the recent improvement in the market, Indian garment and knitting machinery industry is already gearing up to face the international challenges and has started producing world class, high quality laundry and finishing machines for Indian as well as International markets, other segments of the Garment and knitting machinery industry are also improving upon their quality to come up to the expectations of apparel and knitting Industry.
