Festival fever
Nagaland's Hornbill Festival is no ordinary cultural celebration. For 10 days, tribal dances, traditional music, local delicacies and colourful costumes bring the state's heritage alive. IRCTC's seven-day tour promises travellers a front-row experience of one of Northeast India's biggest cultural attractions.

Rhino territory
Imagine entering the mist-covered forests of Kaziranga at sunrise, searching for the famous one-horned rhinoceros. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is a major highlight of IRCTC's package, with an elephant ride and jeep safari included. But the wildlife adventure is only part of the experience.

Hidden Nagaland
Beyond the festival crowds lies Khonoma, a picturesque Naga village known for its green landscapes and distinctive cultural heritage. Travellers will also explore Kohima's War Cemetery and State Museum, discovering a side of Nagaland that goes well beyond its famous annual celebration.

River romance
A dinner cruise on the mighty Brahmaputra adds a different flavour to this Northeast adventure. After days of forest safaris and tribal festivities, travellers reach Guwahati for an evening on the river. The journey ends with a visit to the famous Kamakhya Temple atop Nilachal Hill.

Holiday shock
Seven days, three destinations, flights, hotels, meals and wildlife safaris, but the price may surprise travellers. IRCTC's December 5-11 package starts at Rs 71,700 per adult on triple sharing, rises to Rs 83,000 on twin sharing and reaches Rs 1,14,600 for solo travellers. Some expenses are still extra.
