Luxury Landing
Volvo India has launched the EX90 electric SUV at Rs 1.26 crore ex-showroom, making it the brand’s new range-topper. That is Rs 27.2 lakh more than the combustion-powered XC90, which Autocar India ties to the EX90 being far more modern and tech-loaded than a car whose current generation is over a decade old.

Rival Undercut
At Rs 1.26 crore, the EX90 sits below its two main electric rivals. Autocar lists the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV 580 at Rs 1.49 crore and the Kia EV9 at Rs 1.30 crore, so Volvo is pitching the flagship as the cheaper way into this bracket.

One Powertrain
India gets a single setup: a 106 kWh battery feeding a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system. Volvo claims up to 625 km on the WLTP cycle, and Autocar’s earlier EX90 page puts the India-spec output at 456 hp and 670 Nm. Real-world range will depend on how and where you drive.

Booking Bonus
Buyers who book before 31 December 2026 get an 11 kW home charger, a 3-year service package and an assured buyback of 65 percent after 3 years. For a car at this price, the buyback may matter as much as the sticker.

Charging Reality
Autocar says an 11 kW AC charger needs about 10 hours for a full charge, so a home charger suits overnight use. The bundled unit saves a separate purchase, but check installation costs at your address.
