How to tie a bow tie
1. Hold the tie around the neck, allowing the left end (A) to be a little longer than the right end (B). Now neatly cross end-A over B.
2. Take end-A and tuck it up in the hole between your neck and tie. Fold B at the widest part, holding it sideways and forming a bow.
3. Drop end-A over folded end-B and fold end-A up. Pass folded end-A under folded end-B, and through the loop behind folded end-B.
4. Tighten knot and straighten the newly created bow tie as needed, and you are all set to hit the party circuit.
