If you are a stickler for clarity on your screen, then the 24-inch S24B350H is just the LED monitor for you. The emphasis on clarity is because this monitor is the closing argument on the viewing angle debate, thanks to its Magic Angle option. This option gives users two lean back modes, a standing mode, a side mode, a group view mode and a custom mode where the contrast ratios are automatically adjusted to the situations above. In the standing mode, the display appears a bit too crisp and some colours washed out, but as you stand up in front of the monitor, the picture is perfect. The White LED-backlight (WLED) ensures the colours are accurate and the contrast sharp.
The Mega Dynamic Contrast Ratio enhances dynamic contrast to 5,000,000:1, where there are separate standard, game and cinema modes. We ran a monitor test and found that the screen works well till 200 pixels per second, but anything above and there is some lag on the screen. So don't be surprised if you see lines while playing some flash videos.
DESIGNThis monitor has an all-black plastic body, with a unique transparent neck pedestal. The touch controls at the bottom right are responsive. It is easy to lean the screen, but there is no vertical orientation available. Also, there is no speaker here.
GREEN SCREENThe screen, which has 30W power consumption, lets users decide how much power to save-25 or 50 per cent power, or just switch off the power saving option. The 50 per cent power save is good enough for you to work on at close quarters.
