Maharashtra reports rising number of Delta Plus variant cases

Maharashtra has reported 21 cases of Delta Plus variant of COVID-19. A total of 7,500 samples from across the state were sent for testing, out of which 21 tested positive, said Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope on Monday. The samples were being collected since May 15. While talking about the cases, Maharashtra health minister said that the state has taken a decision regarding genome sequencing and started the process of taking 100 samples from each district.
