Ashok Leyland sales jump 24.9 per cent in July

Ashok Leyland, the commercial vehicle maker, has posted 24.9 per cent jump in sales at 9,785 units for July.

The Chennai-headquartered company had sold 7,834 units in the same month last year.

Sales of commercial vehicles (excluding its latest small commercial vehicle Dost) declined by 11 per cent to 6,982 units, against 7,834 units sold during the same month of last year.

Sales of the SCV Dost during July 2012 stood at 2,803 units, the statement said.
