Creative's Draco Junior HS-430 is supposed to be the answer to what
gamers actually want in their headsets- with an injection of style. Well the headset is no doubt a great looker and comes with a detachable microphone- which, therefore, gives you the option to use it as an additional audio facility. It is very simple to plug in to the system as it comes with two single cables, one being the main audio chord and the other, the in-volume control. The 30mm Neodymium speakers provide excellent bass and noise cancellation.
However, when it comes to treble and speech, much is left to be desired. When you are listening to music, the background sound dominates the vocals. This shows that the company didn't get the sound balance correctly. The same applies in the case of gaming; you can hear the explosions and gun fires clearly while the speech sounds muffled and unclear. This device is definitely very flashy but honestly a hardcore gamer would not be thrilled with the "Junior" tag. Creative seems to have got a bit carried away in the looks department instead of concentrating on what
gaming headsets are actually meant for. That would be excellent balanced sound quality. Like J K Rowling's character Draco Malfoy, Creative's Draco Junior HS-430 headphones builds up our expectations, only to deceive.
