JSW Steel production up 35 per cent in April at 7.15 lakh tonnes
Mumbai-based JSW Steel said its flat product output grew 34 per cent to 5.25 lakh tonnes in April and long
product by 35 per cent to 1.55 lakh tonnes.

JSW Steel's
production grew 35 per cent in April to 7.15 lakh tonnes, against 5.3 lakh tonnes in April 2011.
The Mumbai-based company said its
flat product output grew 34 per cent to 5.25 lakh tonnes and long product by 35 per cent to 1.55 lakh tonnes during the month over April last year.
Flat products are used for consumer durables and fast moving consumer goods sector, and long products are meant for the construction sector.
"The
capacity utilisation at Vijaynagar works remained at around 80 per cent in April 2012 due to
inferior quality and inadequate quantity of iron ore in E-auction," it said.
JSW Steel's crude steel production in 2011-12 was 74 lakh tones, up 16 per cent over the previous year.
