Prusik Asia Fund buys 2.37 lakh shares of PVR for Rs 7.38 cr

Prusik Asia Fund Public Ltd Company on Tuesday acquired 2.37 lakh shares of PVR Ltd through open market transactions.

According to the bulk deal data available at the National Stock Exchange, Prusik Asia Fund Public purchased the shares of the multiplex chain operator for deal valuing at Rs 7.38 crore.

The shares were bought at an average price of Rs 311.6 apiece.

In a separate bulk deal, Rajasthan Global Securities Ltd bought nearly 1.65 lakh shares of multiplex chain operator Cinemax India Ltd for Rs 3.15 crore. The shares were purchased at an average price of Rs 190.62 apiece.

Last week, PVR had announced that it would be acquiring upto 95.27 per cent stake in Cinemax India in a deal worth about Rs 543 crore.

Shares of PVR, that gained 7.59 per cent on Tuesday, closed at Rs 320.65 on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Wednesday - down 2.2 per cent. Cinemax India shares after gaining 0.08 per cent on Tuesday, pared the gains on Wednesday to settle at Rs 190.75.
