HTC announced its foray into the Indian tablet market with the 7-inch HTC Flyer, powered by a1.5GHz processor, 1GB RAM and running on the Android operating system. With HTC Sense, the customised user interface running on the homescreen, Flyer will support Flash format. Other features include Wi-Fi printing, stereo speakers, 1.3 MP front-facing camera and a 5 MP camera at the back.

BOSCH HD SECURITY
Bosch Security Systems has announced the launch of HD solutions in India. Bosch, which provides, among other things, video surveillance products, has now strengthened its existing range with the unveiling of security solutions "from scene to screen". These include the Dinion HD 720p surveillance cameras, the FlexiDome series of day/night fixed cameras and the IP Camera 200, which is targeted at small businesses. Also part of the launch are HD LCD security screens and software.

In this new system, wirelesss peakers connect independently to stereo Bluetooth devices such as the iPhone, Blackberry, Android phone, iPador Creative ZiiO tablet, and can also be configured so more speakers are connected wirelessly to form a multi-channel home audio system.

With 3G services picking up in the Indian market, D-Link has launched a range of portable routers. Compatible with a 3G dongle, the DWR131 can support 3G speeds of up to 3.1 Mbps or even connect to the fixed landlines to offer Internet access to Wi-Fi-enabled devices.

With the conventional 802.11 wireless access, it is compatible with EV-O/CDMA/HSPA+/HSUPA/HSDPA/UMTS networks. It has an inbuilt battery of 1700 mAh.
