Nandagopal RajanAsus became the first company to launch notebooks running on Intel's latest 3rd generation Ivy Bridge processors with the launch of the N56VM multimedia and G75VW gaming laptops.

Along with the high speeds and processing power, the new units will also feature trendy designs and superior audio. The latest entrant in Asus's N series has best in class sound thanks to SonicMaster Premium technology, coupled with the Band & Olufsen ICEpower speakers.

They also sport 15.6-inch Full HD 1080p wide-view screens, making the device ideal for multi-media junkies.

Gadgets & GizmosThe Asus Super Hybrid Engine II technology promises 2-second resume from sleep and two-week standby. The N56VM will run on the Intel Core i7-3610QM 2.3 GHz quad core processor and will have an 8GB DDR3 memory. The 750 GB SATA storage will be complemented by a Blu-ray drive.

The G75VW, meanwhile, is a mean looking device which has gaming written all over it, from the fans in the rear to the grey looks. It comes loaded with a stupendous 16 GB RAM and 1.3 TB hard drive and Bu-ray drive. The 17.3-inch full HD non-glare 3D panel and Intel Core i7-3610QM 2.3 GHz quad core processor will ensure that the gamers are lining up to check out this latest kid on the block.

The N56VM will sell for Rs 89,999 while the G75VW will cost Rs 1,39,999.
