Epson has launched a new M-series monochrome inkjet printers aimed primarily at those who print black and white documents, such as corporate houses.
Economy is their main aim - they claim to
bring down the cost of printer usage to 12 paise per page, while offering quality prints. The start-up toner added in the box is accompanied with a 70 ml additional ink that combined can give up to 8,000 prints.
Subsequent toners will cost Rs 699 each and can give up to 6,000 prints on normal mode.
The series comprises two models - the M100 and M200. The former is a single function mono ink tank system printer while the latter is an all-in-one monochrome printer.
These produce water proof prints with a printing speed of up to 34 prints per minute in draft mode and come with Ethernet port for network connectivity. There is also an option of taking prints using the Epson iPrint app for iPhone and Android smartphones.
The M100 is priced at Rs 9,999 whereas the M200, all-in-one, is priced at Rs 13,999.
Epson's 2012/13 turnover was 703 crore.
