Chinese smartphone player Gionee has announced the launch of its next smartphone in the S series, S6s. Pushing it as a selfie smartphone, the device packs in an 8-MP front camera with a flash.
It has a 5.5-inch full HD display with in-cell technology. It is powered by 64-bit octa-core processor paired with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB onboard storage. It has Amigo UI onboard, which is based on Android Marshmallow operating system.

It has a 13-MP rear camera and an 8-MP front with flash. The highlight is the Gionee Studio that allows professional mode, HDR, beauty face, Panorama, GIF and more.
The Gionee S6s has a full metal body and packs in a 3150 mAh battery.
The company claims that 80,000 units have been prebooked by the retail partners. Gionee has doubled its sales in the last quarter. The company has reached half the million sales and has got Actress Alia Bhatt as the brand ambassador of Gionee smartphones. Gionee expects to sell a million plus devices by the end of this year.
Priced at Rs 17,999, the device will be available in offline retail as well as online retail (only Amazon India).
