TomTom launches GPS sports watch range in India

With fitness and wearable gadgets taking centre stage, TomTom has launched its GPS Sports Watches in India.

This range comprises four watches - TomTom Runner, Multi Sport, Runner Cardio and Multi-sport Cardio - starting at Rs 12,999 and going up to Rs 23,499.

Aimed at runners, the TomTom Runner and Multi-Sport GPS watches offers real time information such as time, distance, heart rate, place, speed and calories burnt to runners, cyclists and swimmers.

In addition, the Runner Cardio watch has got a bigger display and full-screen graphical training partner for reviewing the workout session.

There is one-button control that allows navigation (up, down, left and right) to access the features on the watch.

The watches have got a Quick GPS Fix, scratch resistant display, Bluetooth Smart technology and an indoor tracker.

These watches are compatible with iOS and Android devices with Bluetooth 4.0  and can be paired using the TomTom MySports App.

"Our research suggests that access to real time information during a run is one of the easiest ways for a runner to improve their performance, making the GPS watch an essential part of any runner's kit," says Kavita Nath, Country Manager, TomTom India.  

Available exclusively on Flipkart, the TomTom Runner GPS is priced at Rs 12,999.

The Multi-Sport GPS will cost Rs 15,499. The Runner Cardio GPS Watch and Multi-Sport Cardio Watch are priced at Rs 20,999 and Rs 23,499 respectively.
