2010 saw the emergence of the tablet, a trend that is likely to create the biggest buzz in the coming year. After the release of some tablets in India, two more have come from Viewsonic.

On Wednesday, the company launched the Viewpad 7 and Viewpad 10, priced respectively at Rs 32,000 and Rs 38,000. Both the tags are higher than most tablets available in the market.

However, Viewsonic provided many things that others haven't. To start with the 10 inch Viewpad has an Intel Atom 1.6 GHz processor, yes the same processor the netbooks use.

This model also has the dual boot capability, switching between Windows 7 Home Premium and Android operating system. The 7-inch Viewpad looks identical to the Olivepad and it seems like both were manufactured in the same factory. However, the Viewpad 7 does feel fast and it has more pre-installed applications. Build-wise the Viewpad feels better too.
