The iQOO Z7 Pro is launching in India on August 31 and ahead of the event, India Today Tech has received some exclusive details from industry sources. This will be a mid-range 5G phone and a successor to the iQOO Z6 Pro smartphone, which was a good offering from the brand. The new iQOO phone will have a MediaTek chipset, a slimmer design, and more. Here is everything we know.
The iQOO Z7 Pro will be priced under Rs 25,000 in India, an industry source confirmed. It will be seen competing with popular phones like the OnePlus Nord CE 3, which was recently announced in India with a price tag of Rs 26,999. We don't have the exact price details yet. But, since this will be a direct competitor of the OnePlus Nord CE 3, we expect iQOO to price it less than it.
Furthermore, the iQOO Z7 Pro will have a curved display with a hole-punch display design. It is claimed to have the slimmest and most lightweight design in its segment. The sources asserted that the upcoming iQOO phone will be slimmer than a pencil, which sounds interesting as this will be a big shift in terms of design from heavy units.
The three main focuses of the iQOO Z7 Pro will be performance, design and main camera. There will be two lenses at the back, but the exact sensors are still unknown. The phone will also feature a new MediaTek processor. While the exact name is still unknown, the company's CEO Nipun Marya has suggested on Twitter that the iQOO Z7 Pro will offer the fastest performance by showing an Antutu score of 7,28,000.
At the phone's rear, there is also an Aura Light for better photography. The rest of the details are still under wraps.
The leaks have so far claimed that the iQOO Z7 Pro will pack a 4,600mAh battery with 66W fast charging, a 64-megapixel primary rear camera, a MediaTek 7,200 SoC, a 6.78-inch display and more. Do keep in mind that these details are not officially confirmed by the company and so, users should take the leak-based information with a pinch of salt.
