Google adds AI tool in Search to help users check grammar and writing errors, here is how to use

Google has been diligently developing a slew of innovative AI features aimed at enhancing its platforms. The most recent addition to this lineup is an AI-powered tool for its Search Console.The tool is designed to assist users in identifying grammatical errors within their sentences directly from the Search bar.

According to Google, the new AI tool will be handy for users who quickly want to check if a phrase or sentence is grammatically accurate or how to rectify any issues if needed. While the tool will be handy, users will not have to take the extra step of opening apps like Grammarly to check the accuracy of the sentences. The company further cautions users about the accuracy of the tool. "Important: To analyze the language, the grammar check uses AI systems and might not be 100% accurate, especially with partial sentences," Google notifies users.

So, next time, if you want to take a quick grammar check for your sentences, you can just ask the Google Search Console to do so.

How to use grammar check on Google Search

To use grammar check tool in Google Search:

• Open Google Search.
• Type the sentence you want Google to check for grammar and write "grammar check" in its end.
• For example, - Type "The sun is shining brightly in the blue sky. grammar check" in search and press enter.
• In the search result window, Google will display the output provided by the grammar check to verify if the grammar is correct. If there are no issues, the "Grammar Check" section/card that appears as the first result will show a green checkmark. If it is not correct, it will indicate how to correct the phrase or sentence. It can also correct spelling mistakes.
• Notably, this feature is only available for English.

However, Google warns users that its AI-backed grammar check will not run "when the content might be in violation of Google Search's overall policies or these policies for Search features." This includes:

• Dangerous content
• Harassing content
• Hateful content
• Medical content
• Sexually explicit content
• Terrorist content
• Violence and gore
• Vulgar language and profanity

Google already offers grammar check features on platforms such as Gmail and Google Drive. Now, integrating this tool into Search aligns seamlessly with the company's diverse offerings, including a comprehensive dictionary tool. This addition eliminates the need to open separate applications like Google Docs, saving users time and inconvenience.

Notably, Google released the support document for this AI feature just last month. This release coincided with other integrated Google Search utilities, including speed test, color picker, spinner, meditation, calculator, coin flip, dice roll, and metronome.
