The popular payments app has announced the Freedom Travel Carnival starting from August 1 to 10. During this period, Paytm users can avail discounts on flight, train, and bus ticket bookings and save money on their travel plans for the upcoming Independence Day long weekend.

Paytm discount on flight tickets

Paytm is currently offering a flat 15 per cent instant discount on domestic flight tickets and 10 per cent on international flight tickets through bank offers from RBL Bank and ICICI Bank. Paytm users can also avail of a flat 12 percent discount on domestic flight bookings when using Paytm Wallet and Paytm Postpaid. Furthermore, the company has collaborated with major airlines, including IndiGo, Vistara, SpiceJet, AirAsia, Akasa Air, and Air India, in order to offer users more savings on their ticket bookings.

Paytm is also offering a special fare for students, senior citizens, and Armed Forces personnel. Moreover, users can book their flight tickets with zero convenience fee, further increasing their savings.

Paytm discount on bus tickets

For bus tickets, Paytm is offering a 25 percent instant discount with the code 'CRAZYSALE' and an additional discount of up to 20 percent on specific operators. Paytm also guarantees the lowest price across more than 2,500 bus operators under its Best Price Guaranteed program.

Paytm discount on train tickets

For the train travellers, Paytm is providing bookings through UPI with zero charges. Users can easily monitor their booking's PNR status, track their trains in real-time, and access 24/7 customer support for any train travel inquiries via the Paytm App.

Paytm offering Free cancellation policy

Additionally, Paytm is introducing a 'Free Cancellation' policy for flight, bus, and train tickets, where users can receive a 100 percent refund to their source account upon ticket cancellations. This policy includes no hidden charges or cancellation fees.

"The company empowers users with one of the lowest premiums under 'Free cancellation' that they can select while booking their tickets in case they are unsure of their travel plans,"reads the official statement by Paytm.

How to book tickets on Paytm

• To book your tickets from Paytm App, here is a step by step guide:
• Open the Paytm app on your device.
• Tap on the "Travel" tab.
• Select the type of travel ticket you want to book. For example, you can book flight tickets, bus tickets, train tickets, hotel bookings, etc.
• Enter the details of your travel. This includes the origin and destination cities, the date of travel, the number of passengers, and the class of travel.
• Select the travel options that you want to book. You can compare different travel options and choose the one that best suits your needs.
• Pay for your travel tickets. Paytm offers users the option to book their travel tickets on the platform and finalise their payments through various modes, such as Paytm UPI, Paytm Wallet, net banking, debit cards, and credit cards.
• Once your tickets are booked, you will receive a confirmation email.
