- BSNL announced a dedicated work from home plan at Rs 599
- Vodafone and Jio already have prepaid plans costing Rs 599
- Airtel also has a similar plan but it costs a rupee less than Rs 599
Telecom brand BSNL introduced a couple of prepaid plans recently. The company also announced a dedicated work from home plan at Rs 599 but there the prepaid plan will be available in all circles except for Mumbai and Delhi. While this is BSNL's new addition, Vodafone and Jio already have prepaid plans costing Rs 599. So let's find out which network operators provide the best benefits at Rs 599.
The government-owned telecom brand recently announced a Special Tariff Voucher (STV) prepaid plan at Rs 599. The plan ships with 5GB data per day and once the limit of 5GB is reached, the speed is reduced to 80 Kbps. The plan also offers 100 free SMS per day and unlimited calling to any network including MTNL. The recharge can be done through the CTOPUP, BSNL's website or self care activation. BSNL rolled out the plan for its users in Tamil Nadu from July 6. The prepaid plan has a validity of 90 days.
The Vodafone Rs 599 prepaid plan ships with 1.5GB data per day along with unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day. The prepaid plan has a validity of 84 days and offers a free subscription to Zee5 and Vodafone Play. However, if you recharge your number through the Vodafone app or the website, you will get additional data of 5GB along with the prepaid plan. This is a temporary offer by Vodafone and it might not be available once Vodafone decides to lift the offer.
Till now, Jio offered the highest data benefits amongst all the network operators at Rs 599 but now it has serious competition. The Jio prepaid plan ships with 2GB data per day, Jio to Jio Unlimited, Jio to Non-Jio FUP of 3,000 minutes and 100 SMS per day. The prepaid plan has a validity of 84 days and it also offers a complimentary subscription to Jio apps.
Airtel also has a similar plan but it costs a rupee less than Rs 599. The Rs 598 prepaid plan offered by the company ships with 1.5GB data per day, unlimited Local, STD & Roaming calls on any network, and 100 SMS per day. The prepaid plan has a validity of 84 days.
So BSNL is a clear winner in terms of data benefits and validity but the plan is not available in every circle so you will have to either go for the Jio prepaid plan or the Airtel, Vodafone to enjoy benefits.
