The domestic markets ended higher rebounding from near seven-week lows hit earlier on Monday after Wholesale Price Index (WPI) inflation dropped for a 12th straight month in October and came in at negative 3.81 per cent as compared to negative 4.54 per cent in September.

The S&P BSE Sensex settled 149.57 points up at 25,760.10, while CNX Nifty ended the day above its key 7,800-mark at 7,806.60, up 44.35 points, although sentiment remained jittery after the attacks in Paris by suspected Islamist militants.

Market breadth turned positive with 23 of the 30 Sensex components ending the day in green.

Here are top 10 stocks which were in focus today:

  1. CIL: Shares of Coal India slipped over 3 per cent in trade on Monday even as the world's biggest coal miner posted a 16 per cent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 2,543.80 crore for the quarter ended September 30. The stock ended 1.94 per cent down on BSE.
  2. SH Kelkar and Company: Fragrance maker SH Kelkar and Company made its stock market debut on BSE with a premium of 23 per cent at Rs 222 against the issue price of Rs 180. The stock ended the day 15.16 per cent up after hitting an intraday high of Rs 222.70, up 23.72 per cent against the issue price.
  3. JSPL: Shares of Jindal Steel and Power surged over 3 per cent after the steel major said it plans to cut costs and divest some non-core assets, as it swung to a second-quarter loss due to a drop in iron and steel sales and a one-time charge linked to an overseas unit. The stock ended 2.46 per cent up on BSE.
  4. Bhushan Steel: Shares of Bhushan Steel ended 1.56 per cent up after the company reported widening of standalone net loss to Rs 732.79 crore for the second quarter ended September 30.
  5. Shree Cement: Shares of Shree Cement settled at Rs 10884.35, down 3.72 per cent after the company reported a higher standalone profit of Rs 128.73 crore for the quarter ended September 30. The firm has clocked a net profit of Rs 108.81 crore in the year-ago period.
  6. Welspun Corp: Shares of Welspun Corp settled the day 3.24 per cent up after the pipe maker reported a multi-fold jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 101.09 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015.
  7. GMR Infra: Shares of GMR Infrastructure rose as much as 14.05 per cent to Rs 13.55 and ended the day 13.13 per cent higher after the infra firm said its consolidated net loss in July-September quarter narrowed to Rs 398.67 crore on the back of better operating margins from power plants and robust traffic growth in airports.
  8. Apollo Hospitals: Shares of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise ended the day 2.25 per cent up after the healthcare major reported a 2.37 per cent rise in standalone net profit at Rs 93.67 crore for the quarter ended September.
  9. MMTC: Shares of state-run trading firm MMTC today surged nearly 10 per cent after the company reported a net profit of Rs 43.84 crore for the second quarter ended September 30. The stock climbed 9.47 per cent to Rs 46.20 on BSE and settled the day 7.58 per cent higher at Rs 45.40.
  10. Tata Steel: Tata Steel added 3.44 per cent on Monday after the steel major received green clearance for mining of mineral sand, used in coal production, from the riverbed of Gowai in Purulia District, West Bengal.
