Bharti Airtel commits Rs 60,000 crore investment in 3 years
Country's biggest telecommunications carrier, Bharti Airtel, said it will invest Rs 60,000 crore ($8.98 billion) over three years to upgrade its network to improve voice and data services in the world's second-biggest mobile phone market by number of customers. The bulk of the investment will be in building infrastructure as the company has already bought most of the radio airwaves needed, Gopal Vittal, the company's chief executive for India and South Asia, told a news conference.

India outpaces China in Q2 GDP growth
Economic growth picked up in the July-September quarter, outpacing China on improving domestic demand and manufacturing activity, which could persuade the country's central bank to keep interest rates unchanged at its Tuesday meeting.

Nestle resumes Maggi noodles production at all plants in India
Nestle India said it has resumed production of Maggi noodles at all five facilities in India. Nestle, which relaunched Maggi noodles on November 9 after a five-months ban, has started production of Maggi noodles from its Tahliwal plant in Himachal Pradesh. Nestle manufacturers Maggi noodles at its plants in Nanjangud (Karnataka), Moga (Punjab) Bicholim (Goa) and Tahliwal and Pantnagar in Himachal Pradesh.

Petrol price cut by 58 paise, diesel by 25 paise a litre
The price of petrol was on Monday cut by 58 paise per litre and that of diesel by 25 paise, reversing the trend of increasing rates, on global cues. Petrol will cost Rs 60.48 per litre from mid-night tonight in Delhi as against Rs 60.70 a litre currently. A litre of diesel will cost Rs 46.55 from Tuesday compared with the Rs 46.80 now, said Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), the nation's biggest fuel retailer.

April-October fiscal deficit touches 74% of full-year target
Fiscal deficit reached Rs 4.11 trillion ($61.67 billion) during April-October or 74 per cent of the full-year target, government data showed on Monday. The deficit was 89.6 per cent of the full-year target during the same period a year ago.
