Hotel industry performance improves in December quarter

Total sales of domestic hotel industry increased gradually in Q3 2021. The gross sales increased to Rs 560 crore in Q3 FY 2021 from Rs 256 crore in Q2 FY 2021.

EBITDA loss stood at Rs 16.7 crore in Q3 FY21 as compared to gain of Rs 425 crore in Q3 FY20.

Profit before tax declined by Rs 148 crore in Q3 FY 21 as compared to loss of Rs 262 crore in Q2 FY21.

Profit after tax for Q3 FY21 declined by Rs 140 crore.

Revenue per available room for domestic hotel industry grew by 38 per cent in December 2020 as compared to November 2020. It grew by 10 times in December 2020 as compared to April 2020.
