Why it pays to have a woman as your boss

It's a slight advantage, but an advantage nevertheless when you work for a woman boss, who pay more to employees than male bosses. Reason enough to get more of them in the corner office.

Even casual labour earns 37 per cent higher pay if employed by women, than men, in villages, while regular employees in a women-owned establishment earn more than 15 per cent than employees in a male-owned establishment.

Women owners in 12 states & 3 UTs pay more than male business owners to their employees, with Chandigarh's women business owners paying the highest salary in India to their employees, & nearly twice as much as paid by their male counterparts.

Your salary account certainly looks a lot healthier when working for a woman boss and in some cases, can make you more than twice as rich, as working for a male boss.

Women have a higher share of new enterprises than men, leading the entrepreneurship charge in India. Moreover, chances of an enterprise losing its business are less when a woman is in-charge.

With a woman as the boss, women get a better-than-average chance of employment, with 62 per cent more women employees in women-headed businesses, than in male-headed businesses.
