
Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a press conference marking the completion of the Modi government's first 100 days in its third term. Shah highlighted the unprecedented political stability the country is experiencing, stating that this is the first time in 60 years that such stability has been evident. He emphasized the government's significant investment of ₹3 lakh crore in infrastructure development, which includes connecting 25,000 villages to road networks with an allocation of ₹49,000 crore and expanding major roads nationwide at a cost of ₹50,600 crore. Shah also announced the construction of a mega port in Wadhwan, Maharashtra, with a budget of ₹76,000 crore, set to become one of the world's top 10 ports. Additionally, he highlighted efforts to enhance air and metro connectivity, including upgrades to airports in Varanasi, Bagdogra, and Bihta, as well as metro projects in Bengaluru, Pune, and Thane. On agriculture, Shah noted the increase in MSP for Kharif crops and mentioned that the government's procurement is far greater than during the UPA era, ensuring better support for farmers. Furthermore, the government has removed the minimum export price on onions and basmati rice to boost exports.
