Join Piyush Mishra and his team, Ankit Singh and Amit Bhadwar, on an unforgettable adventure as they embark on the final leg of an epic journey from the vibrant streets of Chennai to the serene shores of Kanyakumari aboard the iconic Vande Bharat Express!  This 700-km, 9-hour ride from Chennai’s bustling Egmore railway station to Kanniyakumari, India’s southernmost tip, is more than just a train journey—it’s a vibrant celebration of India’s rich culture, stunning landscapes, and warm hospitality.

In this captivating vlog, we begin at Chennai’s Egmore station, one of the city’s busiest railway hubs, and step aboard the sleek Vande Bharat train, renowned for its speed, comfort, and spacious interiors. As the train races toward Nagercoil—just 35 minutes from Kanniyakumari—it makes brief stops at seven major stations, including Madurai, the cultural capital of Tamil Nadu. Nestled on the banks of the Vaigai River, Madurai shines as a hub of education, industry, and timeless tradition, and we soak in its vibrant charm.

Along the way, Piyush connects with fellow passengers, including a parent traveling with young children who raves about the Vande Bharat’s family-friendly environment: “It’s so spacious, kids can play and walk around freely,” he shares, highlighting why this train outshines buses or cars. From savoring delicious onboard breakfasts served by Indian Railways to marveling at the ever-changing scenery outside our windows, this journey is a feast for the senses.

This trip marks the grand finale of a remarkable 5-day odyssey connecting Kashmir to Kanniyakumari, traversing thousands of kilometers through India’s magnificent railway network. From the chilly peaks of the Himalayas to the tropical warmth of the southern coast, we’ve witnessed the heart of India—its diverse cultures, languages, cuisines, and landscapes. Every station brought a new story, every face a new smile, and every moment a reminder of India’s unifying spirit.

As we arrive in Kanniyakumari, Piyush reflects on the memories, cultures, and wonders encountered along the way. This journey is a testament to the Vande Bharat Express, India’s semi-high-speed marvel, which operates over 70 routes nationwide as of September 2024, connecting cities like New Delhi to Varanasi, Mumbai to Gandhinagar, and Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod with modern amenities and reduced travel times. Join us as we sign off from Kanniyakumari, Tamil Nadu, carrying not just memories but the essence of India’s incredible diversity.
