
India's first gigafactory, focused on manufacturing rechargeable batteries for electric vehicles (EVs), is scheduled to commence operations next year, as revealed by Bhavish Aggarwal, the CEO of Ola Electric. Initially, the facility will possess a 5 GWh capacity, but it aims to eventually become the world's largest battery manufacturing plant, boasting an impressive capacity of 100 GWh.
