India's food regulator, FSSAI, has launched a crackdown on energy drink brands, issuing notices to six companies over alleged misbranding and misleading claims. The action targets Red Bull, PepsiCo's Adrenaline Rush, Reliance Consumer Products' Campa Energy Gold Boost, Sting, Hell Energy and Coca-Cola-backed Monster Energy. According to FSSAI, these brands are being questioned for marketing practices and product claims that may violate food safety and labelling regulations. The regulator said the notices were issued to brands claiming to be "energy drinks" while allegedly making misleading claims. Companies are expected to respond before any further regulatory action is taken.
