
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio delivers a significant opening statement at the Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in New Delhi, stressing the need to transform the Quad from a discussion platform into an action-oriented partnership. Rubio highlighted cooperation on Indo-Pacific security, energy security, humanitarian response, freedom of navigation, critical minerals, and resilient supply chains amid growing global challenges. Thanking India and External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar for hosting the gathering, Rubio underlined the strategic importance of the Quad alliance between India, the United States, Japan, and Australia. He emphasized that the four democracies bring unique capabilities together to tackle some of the world’s biggest geopolitical and economic challenges.
