Civil Aviation Minister K Ram Mohan Naidu said India is witnessing a rapid transformation in manufacturing, with a target of achieving a $7.5 trillion manufacturing GDP by 2047. He highlighted that civil aviation is evolving beyond passenger movement to a comprehensive manufacturing and scaling ecosystem. Enabled by 100% FDI, global OEMs like Boeing and Airbus already source over $2 billion in aircraft components from India annually, a figure expected to double by 2030. Naidu cited strong growth in MRO, aerospace manufacturing, and defence exports, crediting sustained reforms and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 for positioning India as a trusted global manufacturing hub.
