Tapan Assembly Election 2026

Polling for the TAPAN (ST) Assembly seat will take place in the first phase on April 23, 2026.

Vote counting and the declaration of results for the TAPAN (ST) Assembly seat, along with all constituencies of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, will be held on May 4, 2026.

In the West Bengal Assembly Elections 2021, the TAPAN (ST) seat was won by BJP. The winning candidate, Budhrai Tudu, secured 84381 votes. The runner-up was from AITC, whose candidate Kalpana Kisku received 82731 votes.

In the previous election in TAPAN (ST), Budhrai Tudu secured victory as a candidate from BJP. They received a total of 84381 votes, accounting for a vote share of 45.3%.

In the 2021 election for the TAPAN (ST) seat, BJP candidate Budhrai Tudu won with 84381 votes. They defeated AITC candidate Kalpana Kisku by a margin of 1650 votes. Kalpana Kisku received 82731 votes in total.

In the 2021 election for the TAPAN (ST) seat, the runner-up was AITC candidate Kalpana Kisku. They were defeated by BJP candidate Budhrai Tudu. Kalpana Kisku secured a total of 82731 votes, losing by a margin of 1650 votes.
