AirAsia India takes fare war to next level, offers tickets for Rs 799

AirAsia India has launched its 'Big Sale' promotional offer, offering tickets to travellers on Bengaluru-Kochi route for as low as Rs 799.

Under this offer, tickets on Bengaluru-Pune, Bengaluru-Goa and Bengaluru-Visakhapatnam routes start from Rs 999. Travellers on AirAsia India's Bengaluru-Jaipur route can avail flights starting Rs 1,599, Bengaluru-Chandigarh route at Rs 1,799 and Bengaluru-New Delhi route at Rs 1,999.

The offer is applicable for travel period between February 15, 2016, and August 31, 2016. Bookings for the offer will close on June 28.

This is the second discount offer by AirAsia India within a week. On June 17, the airline announced fares starting Rs 990 on select routes.

The move is likely to heat things up in the Indian aviation space as airlines continue to offer discounts to cash in on the ongoing holiday season in an attempt to increase passenger traffic significantly.
