

FMCG firm Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) on Monday announced nearly 12 per cent rise in Q4 net profit. The firm clocked Rs 1,089.59 crore net profit for the quarter ending 31 March 2016 compared to Rs 971 crore profit in the third quarter of last fiscal. On year-on-year basis, net profit rose 7 per cent from Rs 1,018.08 crore in the January-March quarter of the preceding fiscal.
However, net sales from operations fell to Rs 7,809 crore in Q4 compared with Rs 7,822 crore in Q3.
The board of directors have announced a dividend of Rs 9.50 per share for financial year ended March 31, 2016.
The HUL stock closed at Rs 846.10 or 0.80 per cent lower on the BSE.
