Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are scheduled to reach stores on September 18. Ahead of that date, The Economic Times reported that chartered flights carrying India-made Pro models had departed, mostly from Chennai.

Foxconn and Tata Electronics are the two manufacturers named

The report identifies one Foxconn factory and one Tata Electronics factory as the Indian sites making the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. It says the plants were working around the clock before the global sales launch.

According to the report, India-made Pro and Pro Max models will be available from the first day of global sales for the first time. India-made standard iPhone 17 models reached launch-day shelves in 2025, while Pro production followed later.

Assembly could expand to nearly a dozen lines if demand requires it
