

Shah Rukh Khan starrer Happy New Year has earned Rs 108.86 crore during the first three days of its release to become the highest opening bollywood grosser ever, a post on its Facebook page reveals.
The movie on the first day collected Rs 44.97 crore, beating Aamir Khan starrer Dhoom: 3.
Despite getting mixed reviews, the movie has managed to attain a bumper start.
Happy New Year is a 2014 Bollywood action comedy-drama film directed by Farah Khan and produced by Gauri Khan under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment. The film has an ensemble cast which includes, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Vivaan Shah, Sonu Sood and Jackie Shroff.
This is the third collaboration of Khan with the director; they previously worked on Main Hoon Na (2004) and Om Shanti Om (2007), the latter of which also featured Padukone as the female lead.
The movie released on 24 October 2014, in three different languages: Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
