From Triumph's Rocket III to BMW's European bestseller, the year ahead offers superbikes for every motorcycle maven. Take a look:

BMW R1200GS
The range topper now has updates

After spending months as the bestseller in Europe, BMW is coming to India with its range topper. This bike combines commuting, off-roading and touring in one single package. It features BMW's signature 'Boxer' motor, which displaces 1,170cc and gives an output of 109bhp. Available after Auto Expo.

HONDA CBR600RR
Finest in the 600cc category

After Bajaj's success with the Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R, everyone is looking at the 600cc segment seriously. Honda is planning to bring in the finest in the class: the CBR600RR. It features Honda's innovation, C-ABS (combined anti-lock braking system). The 599cc bike produces 103bhp. Available after Auto Expo.

SUZUKI INTRUDER M800
Mellowed down for city traffic

The top-line Intruder is a massive bike, and it is indeed daunting to control a 1,800cc cruiser bike in heavy traffic. But Suzuki's 805cc model will be easier to handle in city traffic. The distinctive headlight cowl identifies it as a member of Suzuki's Intruder family. Chrome abounds on the bike, giving it a retro look.

HYOSUNG GT250R
Firecracker with fuel economy

Hyosung is in India with its 650cc sport and cruiser styles of motorcycles, but the company now plans to get really aggressive with its 250cc firecracker. The little Hyosung uses fuelinjection to produce 29bhp with a fuel economy of 30kpl. The bike has all markings of a bigger sport bike and is expected around March 2012.

DUCATI HYPERMOTARD S
All set for some off-roading

The Hypermotard now features a fuel injection system, taking the output up to 95bhp. This bike can take some amount of off-roading but offers no protection from the elements of nature because it doesn't have windshields or other protective bodywork. It goes on sale in the latter part of 2012.

TRIUMPH ROCKET III
Ride it if you have the brawn

England's Triumph motorcycles reenter the Indian market with their flagship Rocket III. A very impressive machine, the Rocket III is so called because of its three-cylinder configuration that puts out 140bhp at the wheel from its 2,294cc motor, the largest in any production motorcycle! The bike will easily top 220kph
