
Naveen has over 18 years of experience spanning both sell side and buy side roles. He began his career in 2007 as a research analyst in the captive research arm of one of the world’s largest hedge fund DE Shaw. His early career in the sell side at HSBC involved generating investment ideas in the midcap space, for institutional investors. He covered sectors like Real Estate, IT, Media & Entertainment in his early years. Transitioning to Aditya Birla Capital, his role expanded to cover more wider range of sectors like Autos, Auto Ancillaries, Healthcare, Pharma, Building Materials & Age businesses. During his 11 year stint at Aditya Birla Capital, he led a research team of New 7 analysts and was part of the investment committee, which oversaw investment in two PMS schemes. Naveen’s core strength lies in deciphering intelligence and analytics out of large quantitative data sets and using that to combine top-down and bottom-up style of best of both the investing, making the worlds. At Nuvama, he is responsible for managing the Nuvama Absolute Return Strategy [NARS], and Nuvama Equities eXpansion Target strategy [NEXT] PMS as part of the Listed Equities vertical within Nuvama Asset Management.
