Asus launches FonePad for Rs 15,999

Priced at Rs 15,999, Asus launched the 7-inch phablet for the Indian market on Wednesday. This device was first announced at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year.

The FonePad is a 7-inch (with 1280 x 800 p resolution) phablet with support for voice calling and 3G connectivity. It is powered by Intel Atom Z2420 1.2 GHz processor and is paired with 1 GB RAM.

Running on Android JellyBean operating system, the device connectivity options include WiFi, 3G and Bluetooth 3.0. It boasts of a 1.2 MP front facing camera and a 3 MP back camera. It has got 8 GB internal storage with support for expandable memory of up to 32GB.

The Asus FonePad will be available in the Indian market from April 30.
