Government-owned telco Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched a new prepaid plan at Rs 147. The plan comes in handy for users looking for data and calling benefits. BSNL has also increased the validity of some offers if users recharge between 1 to 31 August. Let's have a look at these plans and offers in detail.
BSNL Rs 147 prepaid plan: BSNL Rs 147 prepaid plan brings with it 10GB of data spread over the validity of 30 days. A BSNL circular noted that the Rs 147 prepaid voucher offers calling benefits on any STD and local networks with a fair usage policy (FUP) limit of 250 minutes. The plan also gives BSNL tunes for 30 days.
Users can activate the Rs 147 prepaid plan by sending an SMS STV COMBO147 to 123. The plan was posted on BSNL Chennai circular and first reported by Telecom Talk.
BSNL has further extended the validity of two prepaid plans if customers recharge between the promotional period of August 1 to August 31.
BSNL extends validity on Rs 247 prepaid plan: BSNL has extended the validity of Rs 247 plan to 36 days. Formerly, the plan came at a validity of 30 days. The Rs 247 prepaid plan gives customers 3GB daily data with calling local and STD calling benefits at a FUP limit of 250 minutes. The plan also gives access to Eros Now service along with complimentary BSNL tunes service within the validity period.
BSNL extends validity on Rs 1999 annual prepaid plan: BSNL has additionally extended the validity of the annual prepaid of Rs 1999 plan by 74 days. The plan comes at the validity of 365 days. For customers who recharge between the promotional period of August 1 and August 31, the operator will increase the validity to 439 days. With the Rs 1999 prepaid plan, users get 3GB daily data and STD and local calling benefits at a FUP limit of 250 minutes.
This plan, too, comes with the Eros Now bundled services within the validity period.
BSNL 429 Digital India plan: BSNL Digital India plan at Rs 429 lets users browse up to 1GB high-speed data. The plan also offers unlimited STD and local voice calls for 81 days. This plan, too, is offering the Eros now services.
The subscribers of the Rs 247 and Rs 429 prepaid plans will get a download link for Eros services through an SMS. This does not apply to users who subscribe to the plans through self-care SMS.
BSNL also announced that it will withdraw multiple offers including Patanjali plans from July 31. The Rs 144 Patanjali plan that offered unlimited calls, 2GB data, and 100 SMS will be withdrawn. Patanjali prepaid plans of Rs 792 and 1584 that came at a validity of 180 and 365 days respectively are also being withdrawn. Other plans being withdrawn by the operator at vouchers at Rs 349, Rs Rs 447, and Rs 551. The development will first apply to Chennai and Tamil Nadu circles.
