Asus on Tuesday launched two new devices in its
mobile computing space in India - the Ultraportable Transformer Book T100 and the Fonepad 7.
The
Transformer Book T100 continues to have a detachable display that converts this ultraportable laptop into a tablet. This is a 10.1 inch device with an Intel Atom Z3740 quad core processor and 2GB RAM. This Windows 8.1 hybrid has a 1366x768 pixel IPS display. The display with the keyboard dock combined weighs 1.07kg while the tablet alone weights 550 grams.
The Transformer Book T100 has
32GB onboard storage, 1.2 MP camera, USB 3.0, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and Microsoft Office Home and Students 2013. The laptop has been priced at Rs 34,099.
Priced at Rs 17,499, the Fonepad 7 is a 7-inch tablet featuring a non-slip finish. It is powered by Intel Atom Z2560 processor clocked at 1.6GHz and paired with 1GB RAM.
The
Fonepad 7 has a 1280800 pixel IPS display, 16GB internal storage along with support for the microSD card. It features a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front facing camera. Running on Android v4.2, this 7-inch tablet has a 3,950mAh battery, which the company claims can offer 28 hours of talk time or 10 hours of tablet usage.
"We transform ourselves to deliver the state-of-the-art devices and are assenting that our design philosophy that starts with people will yield us with positive receptions for these devices as well," said Peter Chang, Regional Head, Asus India.
