Panasonic adds flat panel TVs to Viera lineup

Targeting 15 per cent of flat panel market of India, Panasonic has unveiled 30 new models of flat panel TVs to the Smart Viera lineup.

Comprising LEDs, LCDs, and Plasmas, the new range will be available in different sizes, ranging from 24 inch to 55 inch, and will be priced between Rs 13,990 to Rs 3,20,000.

The company says the new televisions are focused on picture quality, networking, easy operation, design and eco-friendliness.

Some of the Viera Connect models will have apps such as Swipe and Share, Browse and Share and What and Chat. Along with 3D and Internet connectivity, the TVs are told to have features like Super high speed 1600Hz backlight scanning for LES TVs, wide viewing angle over IPS LED panel, built in WiFi ans high efficient LED backlight to reduce power consumption.

Panasonic's current market share in the flat panel market in India is 8.3 per cent and company is looking forward to double it in the coming year. Along with Smart TVs, Panasonic has also launched new models of full HD home theatre systems in Indian market.
