Panasonic India has announced the launch of new rugged mobile computing devices.
Aimed to provide mobile workers a reliable and secure access to their data and applications, Panasonic has launched the world's first
Windows 8 enterprise grade rugged tablet along with a 7-inch Android tablet.
The FZ-G1 is a 10.1-inch Windows 8 Pro tablet, which is powered by a 3rd generation Intel Core i5 vPro processor. On the rugged front, it has cleared through drop tests and has an all-weather IP 65 dust and water resistant design with high visibility during sunlight. It is digitised for signature and handwriting as well.
Designed for mission-critical and highly mobile workers working in military, construction, healthcare, public safety, utilities, retail, logistics, manufacturing and insurance, the FZ-G1 has got USB 3.0 as well as HDMI ports. Coming with 3-year warranty, Panasonic has priced this at Rs 1,75,000.
Along with a Windows tablet, Panasonic has launched an Android tablet as well.
This is a 7-inch slate with a dust and water resistant design. Slightly heavy to hold at 545 grams, the tablet has a band at its back that makes it comfortable to hold. It has a 1.5Ghz dual core processor with 1GB RAM. The battery onboard is user replaceable and is accompanied with a stylus for signature capture and handwriting with the use of third party applications. The JT-B1 has been priced at Rs 69,000.
Other than the two tablets, Panasonic has announced two handheld computers, namely Touchbook JT H300HT and Touchbook JT H320HT for the logistic industry.
