Catch the IPL fever live on apps

Cricket fever is still on. You might have managed to escape from your evening schedule to catch up with the International T20 World Cup but what about IPL? It is possible that you are either stuck in office or on your way back as the match begins. And if you can make on time, there is chance of dealing with unexpected situations, power cuts, etc. But don't be disheartened. Your smartphone will keep you abreast with live match updates.

Here are the apps that can do that for you.  

StarSports
You can watch the match live on your smartphone or tablet using the StarSports app. Available for Android and iOS devices, the app will stream the match live along with latest scores, news, etc. While you can watch the match with the five minute delay for free, you will have to subscribe to watch it live, and ad-free.

IPL

Developed by Pulse Innovations, this is the official IPL app from BCCI. Unlike StarSports, it does not live stream the match but has almost everything related to the tournament. It offers live ball-by-ball score and commentary updates. In addition, it has live photostreams of every match, fixtures, results, tables, exclusive interviews, etc. While the app is named IPL on Apple App Store, the same app is listed as BCCI on the Google Play Store. This app is also available for the Windows phone platform.

ESPNCricinfo Cricket
This app features latest scores, breaking-stories, player statistics, records, rankings, exclusive content from the best writers, audio, video and much more. You can get live game coverage of the match with ball by ball commentary, live game switcher, news, photos, points table, multiple graphs and player profiles from every international game along with a full screen mode. You can also receive push notifications for instant alerts of wickets, batsman milestones, score updates during live matches, breaking news and fun facts.

GoCricket
This new app is a one stop shop for cricket fans. It brings the latest news on cricket along with in-depth coverage and analysis of international and Indian domestic cricket. Besides this, it features video content, full articles and photos, interviews and speedy ball-by-ball commentary.

CrickBuzz
Offering cricket scores and news, this app can be used for live score updates with ball-by-ball commentary, audio commentary in English and select regional languages, latest cricket news and editorials and player and team statistics. It is a 3.5 MB file that can be downloaded from the Play Store.
