As ESPN-STAR Sports announced that the upcoming cricket world cup would have high-definition (HD) telecast feed, Tata Sky has announced the rollout of its new product for this cricket Season. The company has launched a new product - Tata Sky + HD.

This new generation personal video recorder is capable of delivering HD picture quality in 1080i resolution with Dolby Digital 7.1 surround sound. Also, it comes equipped with a 500GB hard drive that can be used for recording and storing shows, programs or live sports. Using this, one can play back programs, pause or rewind live TV, resume recording after power cut and even watch one program while recording other.

The content pushed through this box is in 16:9 wide aspect ratio. This new DTH box comes with a new remote in silver and black, matching the new user interface that appears on the display. Capable of capturing up to 625 hours of content, this box is priced competitively at Rs 3,999.
