As the date for the public roll out of Anroid 7.0 Nougat closes in, the 5th and final beta version is out for developers and other early adopters.
The Developer Preview 5 is the last milestone of the preview series and gives developers the near-final system updates for all of the devices that supports the preview and thereby getting the app ready for consumers.
The Developer Preview 5 is available and compatible on Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9, Nexus Player, Pixel C, and available on General Mobile 4G (Android One).
Some of the known issues users may encounter with this developer preview include system instability and a blank MapView when it is resized in a multi window mode and not focused.
However, this is the final developer preview before Android releases it's 7.0 Nougat in the coming months. Apart from a few bug fixes and usability improvments there's not much changed from Developer Preview 4 that brought the finalized APIs that developers need to update their apps, while also removing support for pressure-sensitive screens.
